Our All-Time Chicago Bears Historical Fantasy draft is over (see the entire draft board here), and now it’s time for each of us to hype our team. Once we each reveal our squad, it’ll be up to you guys to determine the winner via vote in our First Annual Historical Fantasy Tournament.
When voting for your winners, we need you to use your imagination and transport the greats of yesteryear to modern times. For example, a dominant All Pro offensive tackle from the 1940s could have weighed 230 pounds, but that playing weight wouldn’t fly in 2018. We’re asking you guys to assume that a bad-ass mauling offensive lineman is a bad-ass offensive lineman, regardless of era.
The other rule we have is that we only get the historical Bear as he was in Chicago, so a guy like Orlando Pace, who made the Hall Of Fame based on his time playing for the Greatest Show on Turf, wouldn’t be a wise draft pick because he wasn’t very good his last year in Chicago.
I almost forgot, since there is only one true G.O.A.T., we all get the services of the long snapping OG, Patrick Mannelly.
Here’s how the first round match-ups will play out.
