Bears mailbag call: H.A.G.B.S (Have a good Bears’ summer)

The Bears have gone in their different respective directions as they’ve concluded off-season activities. That doesn’t mean the questions until training camp arrives can’t continue.

In about five weeks, we can finally put a bow on the honeymoon phase of the Matt Nagy Bears’ era, and begin focusing on real football. The roughly past five months have been an adventure for an organization stuck in the shadows in recent memory. It’s time to start channeling that attention towards results and play that actually matters on the field.

For all of Nagy’s smiles, Pace’s “fired up” mantras (unfortunately, I’ll miss these), and Trubisky’s standard white bread demeanor about everything going swimmingly in Chicago: we’ll be able to point to something tangible to football once the fun in Bourbonnais begins in late July.

Until then, Nagy, Trubisky and company can rest easy in the sun on a beach somewhere. As can you. This is the concrete and true dead period of the NFL calendar, where almost nothing of major note occurs.

However, this is a football-obsessed hive mind, so no doubt the questions are still running rampant in everyone’s mind associated with the Bears. That makes this your opportunity you’re all too familiar with by now to get anything off your chest regarding the team, perhaps the World Cup, or other summer topics. This is this week’s Bears mailbag call to kick off the summer.

You know the drill. Either reply in the comment section below with whatever queries you have, or tweet me @RobertZeglinski and use #AskWCG in your question. I, as usual, will parse through responses and pick out my favorites to expand upon in the Windy City Gridiron Bears’ mailbag.

Have at it, and make sure to put on sunscreen. Safety first.
