Madden NFL 19 will be released on August 10, and some of the player and team ratings are starting to be revealed.
The Chicago Bears are starting off with a 75 overall rating, a 75 on the offense, and an 81 on defense. It makes sense that the D has the edge to start off the year, but I would guess that, if the offense comes along like most of us expect, we’ll see the a few updates with Chicago’s O trending upwards.

The offseason of hype for strong safety Adrian Amos continues as he is the Bears top rated player with an 88. Amos showed he was a solid football player last year, but I wonder how his individual ratings stacked up. In particular his ball skills.
Defensive lineman Akiem Hicks received Chicago’s second highest rating with an 85. My guess is that his strength is one of his highest rated attributes.
The third rated Bear is newcomer Allen Robinson, also at 85. Since he’s coming off an ACL injury I wonder if his injury rating is pulling his overall number down.
Did these three Bears being rated ‘one, two, three’ surprise you Madden players?
