The Butkus-ers & Brown-nosers vs The Jaywalkers: All-Bears Historical Fantasy Tournament

Jeff and Jacob battle it out on the imaginary gridiron!

NFL: Preseason-Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns Scott R. Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

The first round continues in our All-Chicago Bears Historical Fantasy Tournament as we have Jeff Berckes’ The Butkus-ers & Brown-nosers taking on Jacob Infante’s The Jaywalkers!

It’s up to you guys to decide how this fantasy match-up would play out.

Jeff’s defense is captained by the legendary Dick Butkus in the middle, and fan favorite Mike Brown patrolling his secondary. Defensive end Ed Sprinkle and outside linebacker Lance Briggs gives him an intimidating front seven, with Dave Duerson pairing up at safety with Brown.

These guys will need to stop the Jay Cutler to Alshon Jeffery connection on Jacob’s team, with the powerful Stan Jones, Kyle Long and James “Big Cat” Williams up front.

Jeff will try and score points with the best kicker in Bears history, Robbie Gould. But he also has scat-back Tarik Cohen and the tough running Thomas Jones. And speaking of tough, he has Tom Waddle at WR1 and Clyde “Bulldog” Turner anchoring his line.

Richard Dent will harass Jeff’s two-headed quarterback monster, but it’s Mike Singletary that will set the tone for his defense. Add in play-makers like Tim Jennings, Mike Richardson, and Richie Petitbon in his secondary, and you can see why this should be a very good first round match-up.

Now it’s up to you.
