This neat thought exercise comes from Twitter, courtesy of @AJDraftScout.
He writes, “If you guys had to take one player from each team in your favorite team’s division and put him on your team, who would it be?”
He’s a Rams fan, so his threesome was as follows; Bobby Wagner (Seattle Seahawks), Reuben Foster (San Francisco 49ers), and Chandler Jones (Arizona Cardinals).
But we cover the Chicago Bears, so which players from the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions would we steal and place on Chicago’s roster right now?
Here’s my three...
Darius Slay: He’s always been a solid defensive back, but he put it all together in 2017. Slay was a Pro Bowler and a First-Team All-Pro cornerback last season with eight interceptions and 26 passes defended.
Everson Griffen: He has averaged eleven sacks a season the last four years, with three consecutive Pro Bowls. I don’t care if he stays at defensive end or moves to outside linebacker for the Bears, he’s a scary dude coming off the edge.
Aaron Rodgers: With as much as I like Mitchell Trubisky, Rodgers is the best quarterback in the NFL. You put him on this Bears team and they are a Super Bowl contender in 2018. Look at what he’s done with the last few Green Bay rosters. If I want to win now, my Packer pick is Rodgers. I know some Bears’ fans look at this pick as blasphemy, and to those of you I say R-E-L-A-X.
Who would you steal and place on the Bears?
