Before Matt Nagy was the head coach of the Chicago Bears he was an Arena League quarterback that led two different teams to the championship game. He was known for his passion on the field, something that has carried over to his coaching career.
In 2005 he was named Second-Team All-AFL as he quarterbacked the Georgia Force (with head coach Doug Plank) to ArenaBowl XIX. In 2007 he led the Columbus Destroyers to ArenaBowl XXI. The above video is from the latter title game, and ESPN had Nagy mic’d up during the contest. They not only interviewed him during the game, but there is plenty of audio of him commanding his huddle and talking to his teammates. Generally being the energetic and passionate person as sold to Chicago this off-season.
A neat little peak into the personality of the man that will be leading the Bears this fall.
