It’s the dog days of summer, but Bears camp is two weeks away. Unpacking the major remaining questions.

Coming off a weekend with consistent 100 degree temperatures in Chicago, you’d be forgiven if you were missing any kind of Bears football during the dog days of summer. One of the best signifiers of the weather becoming more comfortable is football’s return in the late summer and early fall, after all.

A little over two weeks from now, Matt Nagy’s Bears will report to Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, Illinois in their Escalades, Porsches, and Lamborghinis. With their return, the preparation for the 2018 season will begin in earnest, and the NFL’s lengthy off-season will have finally reached it’s merciful end.

While they’re admirable and necessary in intent, Gatorade events won’t be the only taste of the NFL anymore.

Only hope, optimism, and actual measurable football. There’s nothing like a positional battle and growing team unity in the blazing sun.

Until the fun begins, what’s on your mind regarding these Bears, the upcoming holiday, and whatever else? At this point, you know the drill: this is your mailbag call.
