The Chicago Bears will be on the road tonight, practicing at Vernon Hills High School as a part of their “Varsity Bears” outreach program. With the Chicago Bears on Vernon Hills’ Rust-Oleum Field, the Vernon Hills Cougars’ high school football team will get to practice at Halas Hall’s Walter Payton Center.
I think that’s a fair trade off for the kids on their football team.
The event has been sold out for a while now, and they are expecting about 5,000 people for the 6:00 p.m. practice. Gates open at 4 p.m. and when practice ends, about 8:50 p.m., there will be a fireworks show.
If any of you guys are going to be at the practice and are active on Twitter, be sure to tag @WCGridiron in your Tweets and we’ll share your stuff!
Our own Jacob Infante will be there tonight, but due to a Twitter glitch he won’t be active on his Twitter account.
But you can follow along with him on this account right here.
.@WCGridiron writer and friend of @FPC_NFL Jacob Infante will be live-tweeting the #Bears’ practice in Vernon Hills on our page. Make sure to turn on post notifications to get the latest news from the practice!
