It shouldn't be expected, but the Bears can make the playoffs in 2018.
If quarterback Mitchell Trubisky can make a huge leap in 2018, and if wide receivers Allen Robinson and Anthony Miller, as well as tight end Trey Burton, can mesh with the young quarterback, then the Bears' passing game can be among the best in the league.
Not to mention the dangerous running back duo of Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen.
The defense should be good. Vic Fangio has lead the group to three consecutive top 10 finishes. Linebacker Roquan Smith was a good draft pick, and it will be good to see him play in Saturday's preseason game against the Chiefs.
The early schedule will be a good test. The Bears have a Sunday night opener against the rival Packers, following a home Monday Night Football game against the Seahawks. If the Bears can win one--or both--of these games, that will start the Matt Nagy era on a good note.
