NFL cuts tracker: Players the Bears could be interested in

New, comments

Even though the Chicago Bears’ made the big trade for Khalil Mack, they will still be scouring the waiver wire and looking over street free agents for upgrades.

We’ll keep track of the “name” players the Bears could add to bolster their team, but also some of the young guys that could slide onto their practice squad in this tracker.

  • The Raiders cut defensive end Mario Edwards. (LINK)
  • Chiefs also cut Daniel Braverman.
  • The Chiefs have sprung corner David Amerson. (LINK)
  • The Falcons have released OL Austin Pasztor.
  • The Vikings are releasing defensive end Brian Robison. (LINK)
  • The Denver Broncos cut UDFA OLB Jeff Holland. (LINK)
  • The New Orleans Saints are waiving former second rounder Hau’oli Kikaha (LINK) “Bears should at least take a look at adding him to their OLB rotation,” says our lead draft analyst E.J. Snyder. “Great hand usage and hustle. Wins more than you think he should.”
  • Kony Ealy released by the Dallas Cowboys. (LINK)
  • The New York Jets are cutting former Bears DE/OLB David Bass. (LINK)
  • The Tennessee Titans are cutting DB Demontre Hurst (LINK)
  • The Houston Texans have cut DB Corey Moore (LINK)
  • Safety Ron Parker was cut by the Atlanta Falcons. (LINK)

The cuts are coming quick now and the Chicago Bears will have a lot of decisions to make when compiling their 53-man roster. This part of the game is the big unknown with players they never thought could come available now on the street looking for work. They also have to scour over the waiver wire for young players they may have scouted in the past to add to their practice squad.

SB Nation has a catch-all cuts tracker post with links to the trackers of all 32 of our NFL team sites and you can find that right here.
