Thursday Night Football between the Atlanta Falcons and the Philadelphia Eagles was the stuffed mushroom appetizer before the decadent pan of lasagna that is the first slate of NFL games today.

Eight early games, followed by four late afternoon games, before the Sunday Night night cap that we’ve been waiting for since April 20 when it was first announced. You guys remember the excitement in head coach Matt Nagy’s voice when he revealed the Chicago Bears schedule to his team don’t you?
