Bears sign Tyler Bray to the practice squad

After waiving him yesterday to make room for tight end Bradley Sowell, the Chicago Bears have re-added quarterback Tyler Bray to their practice squad. He’ll now settle back into the role as the third QB behind starter Mitchell Trubisky and number two Chase Daniel.

It seems as though the Bears really caught a lucky break with Bray making it all the way through waivers with no team claiming him. I’d imagine the other thirty-one franchises must have been asleep at the wheel with the 27-year old Bray on the market. Either that, or they never bothered to watch him light up the 2019 preseason by going 53 of 86 (61.6%) for 608 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT, and a 85.8 passer rating while running 3 times for -4 yards.

Here are the other nine players on Chicago’s practice squad.

Alex Bars - OL

Sam Mustipher - OL

Ryan Nall - RB

Kerrith Whyte Jr. - RB

Jesper Horsted - TE

Thomas Ives - WR

Stephen Denmark - DB

Michael Joseph - DB

Abdullah Anderson - DT
