The Chicago Bears have re-signed outside linebacker James Vaughters to their practice squad. To make room for Vaughters, they placed linebacker Fadol Brown on practice squad injured reserve.
The Bears could be preparing themselves in case Isaiah Irving can’t play this week. He left the game on Sunday with a quad injury.
It was also reported that the Bears worked out defensive ends Alex Barrett and Quinton Bell, and linebacker Eli Harold yesterday at Halas Hall.
Vaughters was with the Bears during the offseason and he was on the practice squad earlier this year. Recently he was drafted by the D.C. Defenders of the XFL. Prior to joining the Bears he played in the CFL from 2017 to 2018, and before that be spent a little time with the Packers, Patriots, and Chargers.
Keep in mind the trade deadline is today at 3:00 pm Central time, so if any news breaks we’ll be sure to share it as soon as possible.
