Hey Bears fans! Over the last week I took it upon myself to watch a few games of each of the new Bears’ free agent signings and I’m excited to report to you what I’ve seen so far.
On this episode of Bear With Me I start out by quickly recapping the Bears’ Free Agency thus far, bringing you up to speed on which players we’ve signed, which players we’ve lost, and where our cap sits right now. [START-2:30]
From there I dive right into the scouting reports, starting with Mike Davis. I detail everything I’ve seen Davis do both well and poorly as I try to imagine his role in the 2019 RB room. [2:30-9:45]
Next I recap Buster Skrine, combing over the strengths and weaknesses of his skillset and how they fit into the Bears’ defense. [9:45-14:00]
I illustrate why I think Cordarrelle Patterson is a perfect fit in the Matt Nagy offense and why I believe he and Tarik Cohen are two sides of the same dangerous coin... [14:00-18:00]
...Before laying plain my hesitations about Ha Ha Clinton-Dix’s recent play — this past season he showed a trait that I don’t think anyone wants to see him bring to the Bears. [18:00-22:30]
I also cover the pros and a surprising con of re-signing Pat O’Donnell before cracking open the mailbag to finish the show. [22:50-END]
Give it a listen and let me know what you think!
