Well... Not exactly, but it is kind of what happened.
The Chicago Bears are sitting out day one of the 2019 NFL Draft because last September they sent a package of draft picks to the Oakland Raiders for All-Pro pass rusher Khalil Mack.
Here’s what Bears’ general manager Ryan Pace agreed to send to Oakland.
A first-round draft pick in 2019 and 2020, a third-round pick in 2020, and a 2019 sixth-round pick.
In return for those four selections, the Bears got Mack, who is one of the best players of this generation, a 2020 second-round round draft pick, which looks to be in the top half of the round, and a conditional 2020 fifth-round draft pick.
The Bears were a team on the upswing in 2018, but by getting Mack their defense went to a different level. Chicago had the number one defense a year ago, and Mack made his third First-Team All-Pro team. The 28-year old had 12.5 sacks in 14 games for the Bears, while the Raiders had 13 as a team.

Knowing what you guys do now, how would you grade the Mack acquisition?
