Bears to try out 2 AAF kickers on Wednesday

AAF: Atlanta Legends at Arizona Hotshots Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The search to replace placekicker Cody Parkey continues for the Chicago Bears as they will reportedly work out two kickers from the defunct Alliance of American Football. The Chicago Tribune’s Brad Biggs writes that the Bears will host Younghoe Koo and Nick Rose on Wednesday at Halas Hall.

Koo was a perfect 14 of 14 on field goals with a long on 38 for the Atlanta Legends, while the San Antonio Commanders’ Rose matched Koo’s 14 for 14, but his long was from 54.

Both kickers had brief appearances in the NFL with Koo going 3 for 6 on field goals with the Chargers in 2017, and Rose going 11 for 14 during the 2017 seasons with the Redskins and Chargers.

The Bears currently have two kickers under contract, Chris Blewitt and Redford Jones, and they’ve been actively scouting kickers for the upcoming NFL Draft.

In other roster news, the Bears officially announced that exclusive rights free agent, offensive lineman Rashaad Coward, re-signed today.
