The Chicago Bears have announced that they are bringing Brad Childress back to the coaching staff as a Senior Offensive Assistant. Childress was with the team a year ago as a Senior Offensive Consultant during the offseason, but left before the season started to prepare to coach in the AAF. He never coached with the Atlanta Legends however, instead retiring in January.

He has a history coaching with his good friend, Bears head coach Matt Nagy, so this move was expected for some time now.

The Bears didn’t announce if this was another temporary hire like in 2018, so we’ll have to wait and see if he spends the regular season on staff or rides off into the sunset after helping to ready Chicago's offense for the 2019 season. Either way, his forty years of coaching experience will be a big addition to Nagy’s offensive think-tank.

What are your thoughts on Childress being back with the Bears?
