CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco placed four Chicago Bears on his Top 100 NFL Players list.

The NFL offseason is a great time for those of us that write about the teams to take a step back and do something a little different.

And by different I’m talking about making lists!

We’ve already shared a few national lists with you guys, and we’ve also worked on our own list — Top 100 Bears’ Players of All-Time — that I know you’re all keeping tabs on, but today we’re going to spotlight the CBS Sports Top 100 NFL Player list as compiled by Pete Prisco.

After breaking out with a 12-4 record a year ago, the Chicago Bears had four players appear on Pete’s 100, with the highest checking in at number five.

5. Khalil Mack, OLB

In his first season with the Bears, he was a force off the edge with 12.5 sacks and six forced fumbles.

Mack helped set the tone for the 2018 season with a sack, forced fumble, fumble recovery, and interception returned for a touchdown during their week one loss to the Packers, a mere seven days after the Bears traded for him.

48. Akiem Hicks, DT

The Bears are his third team, which is hard to believe considering how well he played last season. He’s a mountain of a man.

Hicks was always a solid player, but he came into his own after Ryan Pace signed him to play three-technique defensive end in 2016. He’s gotten better every year in Chicago and has become a leader for the team as well.

67. Eddie Jackson, FS

He’s got the range teams need on the back end with the way the game is played now. He had six picks last season, two returned for touchdowns.

While I was excited to see Jackson when the Bears drafted him in the 4th-round, I didn’t think he’d develop into one of the best safeties in the NFL.

69. Kyle Fuller, CB

He tied for the NFL lead in interceptions with seven in his breakout season for a good Bears defense. At 27, he’s just now hitting his prime.

Originally drafted for Mel Tucker’s defense in 2014, Fuller has blossomed into one of the most active corners in the NFL with 43 passes defended in the last two years.

You guys good with these four Bears making Prisco’s list?

Do you think any others were snubbed?
