As is the case in real life, Bears linebacker Khalil Mack will be unstoppable in Madden this year.
The four-time Pro Bowler was announced on Thursday as the third player to receive a perfect 99 overall rating in the upcoming Madden NFL 20 video game. He marks the third of four players to have received the ranking, joining Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald and Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner. The fourth player has yet to be announced.
Mack is coming off of a season which saw him tally 12.5 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and 18 quarterback hits in 14 games. He was named a first-team All-Pro for his efforts, his third nomination of his career. He started off last season as a 95 overall in Madden 19 after an update saw his rating drop three points after the Bears traded for him, moving him from defensive end to outside linebacker. However, the developers eventually moved his rating up to a 99 during the season.
Mack has already been given the Unstoppable Force Superstar X-Factor, a new feature in Madden this year. The ability allows him to win against any blocker in a one-on-one situation if he gets two or more sacks. It wears off when one’s defense allows 10 or more yards on a single play.
With this rating, Mack has been placed in elite territory by EA Sports and will surely be a treat for gamers to play with this year.
