Bears Fans: Let’s Talk About YOU!

Windy City Gridiron isn’t just a website, it’s a community. Let’s take a few minutes and tell your fellow WCG members about yourself!

Let’s talk about YOU, Bears fans!

We spend a lot of time together here at Windy City Gridiron talking about the greatest football team in all the land, the team who’s city name starts with a “C”, ends with an “O” and has a “HICAG” in the middle.

But being a Bears fan is much more than just being somebody who lives (or who once lived) in the Chicagoland area.

We are each individuals and everyone’s story is different.

SO... let’s hear yours.

I’d like everybody to take a minute out of your day and tell the community a little bit about yourself. You don’t need to list name, address, phone number or any personally identifiable information of course, just the general info like age group, area you live in, how/when you became a Bears fan if you like, how you like watching the game... family football allegiances. whatever comes to mind.

I’ll start

Not surprisingly, my name is Ken. I’m one of the Assistant Editors here at Windy City Gridiron under the leadership of Lester Wiltfong, Jr., alongside my fellow Assistant Editors Steven Schweickert and Robert Zeglinski. I joined WCG in 2008, so I go “way back in the day” as far as WCG goes.

I live in northeast Missouri with my wife of 32 years. I work in IT by day, have multiple blogging projects, I work part time for a regional small town newspaper chain and I shoot sports video for KHQA TV in Quincy, IL.

We are the only Bears fans in the family. My sister’s husband is from New Orleans and they are Saints fans, while my wife’s brothers and sisters were all St. Louis Cardinals fans then St. Louis Rams fans. Now? Well, now I’ve been seeing a lot of Blues sweaters at family gatherings over the last 3 years. St. Louis is rather done with the NFL.

I live in rabid Kansas City Chiefs territory, which isn’t that bad. I mean, I could live in Wisconsin, right?

Spill The Beans

First, this isn’t a marketing survey, it’s just a friendly group of folks sitting around a virtual campfire sharing a few stories.

I like to know a bit about the people behind the names I see every day.

How about you? Take a minute and introduce yourself! It’s always fun getting to know a bit more about your WCG companions, isn’t it?
