First quarter - Eddy Pineiro makes a 41 yard field goal to make it 7-3, Giants.

First quarter - The Giants score early on an Eli Manning to Bennie Fowler TD. Fowler ran through a Duke Shelley tackle.

The Bears may be playing mostly backups, but it seems at least 6 other teams are interested in the deep roster that Ryan Pace as assembled.

The Bears and Giants are going at it tonight in the second preseason game for each team, and as always the outcome is meaningless. But there are some players on both sides of the ball fighting for a job. There might not be any room on their respective rosters, but putting good tape out there for the other NFL teams is a must.

Here are all the Bears that won’t be playing tonight.

Reports are that Kyle Long didn’t even travel to New York. Speculation is the Wednesday night fight at practice is the reason why.

And keep in mind this is an open thread, so behave yourselves.

Chicago Bears’ fans, this is everything you need to know about the 2019 preseason opener between the Bears and the New York Giants!

After the Bears held a night time controlled scrimmage on Wednesday at Halas Hall, I doubt we’ll see many of the starters against the Giants. And I’m okay with that. Week one is all that matters right now, so get these guys to the Packers game healthy. The Giants are expected to play quarterback Eli Manning for a bit, so it will be good for the Bears to see a veteran QB.

When is the game?

The Bears travel to New York New Jersey to play the Giants at at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on Friday, August 16, 2019. Kickoff is at 6:30 PM (Chicago time).
