Chicago Bears’ fans, this is everything you need to know about the 2019 preseason opener between the Bears and the Carolina Panthers.

By now it’s expected that the Bears will rest the majority of their starters in the four preseason games, but that doesn’t mean there’s no drama to be found in the games. Most of Chicago's 53-man roster is set, but there are some bottom of the roster spots up for grabs, and then there’s the kicker situation with Elliott Fry and Eddy Pineiro. These two have had a nice training camp battle thus far, but doing it under the lights in a packed house is a different story.

When is the game?

The Bears host the Panthers from Soldier Field on Thursday, August 8th at 7:00 p.m. (CT).
