The first preseason game is always met with excitement — because it’s finally football — but then reality sets in once the wave of backups start to make their way into the contest. Once casual fans start to check rosters to see which Chicago Bears offensive player is number 38 (it’s Kerrith Whyte Jr. by the way), the game loses a little luster.

Even though it’s only a practice game, there are still some good story-lines to follow tonight. Kickers Eddy Pineiro and Elliott Fry will have their first real chance to impress the coaches with the pressure on. It won’t be as pressure packed as the waning seconds in a wildcard game, but for two young players fighting for a job, the pressure is on.

With the Bears resting most of, if not all of their starters, we should get a chance to watch the undrafted tight ends fight for a job. Each of Ian Bunting, Jesper Horsted, Dax Raymond, and Ellis Richardson has had some good moments in camp, but which will fare best tonight?

A year ago it was Ryan Nall that led the Bears in rushing during the preseason, and he’s my pick to do it again this year. I’m setting the over/under on Nall’s yards from scrimmage at 85 tonight, so what do you take?

Will Ryan Nall be over or under 85 yards from scrimmage tonight?
