The real slate of Thursday Night Football games will kick off tonight on the NFL Network as the 0-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by kicker Matt Gay, take on the 0-1 Carolina Panthers and quarterback Cam Newton at 7:20 pm Central.

I’m still not a fan of the idea of Thursday night football, but as a fan of the NFL I’m sure I’ll be checking out the games all year long. I just don’t see how the league can’t approve an 18 week schedule where each team receives two byes, and schedule these game between teams coming off a bye week. It’s the safe and smart solution to a few problems.

I’m picking the home Panthers and head coach Ron Rivera to take the W, which team do you guys think will win tonight?
