The 2019 Chicago Bears have already received some accolades after just two weeks as kicker Eddy Pineiro has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Pineiro boomed each of his kickoffs deep for touch-backs on Sunday against the Denver Broncos, he made his lone extra point, and he went three for three on field goals. His three field goals were good from 40 yards, 52 yards, and 53 yards, but it was the high pressure 53-yarder with just one second remaining on the clock that gave the Bears the 16-14 win that put him on the map nationally.
The outside the box kicking search that head coach Matt Nagy orchestrated this offseason may have had some fans and media members rolling their eyes, but so far the results look solid with Pineiro being perfect on the young season.
Let’s relive that fantastic last second moment from Eddy Pineiro right now...
