Bears fans rejoice! After cutting Tight End Bradley Sowell (better known as the Hero of Week 14) last week to make room for Defensive Line depth, he was gloriously re-signed today. The team waived speedy rookie Running Back Kerrith Whyte Jr. in a corresponding move. Look for him to potentially be added to the Practice Squad.

For anyone who doesn’t know by now, Bradley Sowell is a converted Offensive Lineman, and currently sits a 6’7” and 280lbs. He’s a Big Boy. And last year vs the Rams, he did Big Boy things. Namely, he drove “Santa’s Sleigh” right into the end zone, followed by this:

In the immortal words of John Madden, “I love to see a fat guy score! Because you get a fat guy spike, and then a fat guy dance!” Welcome back big guy. You were missed.

Sowell is now the fifth tight end on the roster, so stay tuned...
