In the latest Bears Banter Podcast from Bill Zimmerman, he’s able to grab a current Bear and a former Bear to shed some light on several interesting topics.
Bill kicks things off talking with Chicago Bears wide receiver Riley Ridley who is in Los Angeles getting ready for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl and Panini Rookie Closeout with Panini America, where he’ll be talking to Collegiate Bowl players about what it’s like transitioning to life as a professional football player and getting ready for the NFL Combine.
Riley only caught 6 balls for 69 yards his rookie season where he was inactive for most of the year, but the former 4th-round pick had good perspective on his 2019. “It wasn’t as what I wanted it to be, but sometimes you have to sit back.”
In a recent mock draft, Ridley’s college QB, Jake Fromm, was mocked to the Bears, so Bill asked his thoughts on the two being reunited in Chicago. “We always tell coach, whenever we see a new Dawg (Georgia Bulldog) come in, that it’s a Dawg Party. He would be a good addition to the club.”
