Bears Over Beers: Will the Bears make a midseason run?

Taking an honest look at what the next 5 games hold for the Bears.

4 and 1. Not too shabby Chicago. It hasn’t always been pretty and the games have certainly raised blood pressure readings across Bears fandom, but none the less: the Monsters of the Midway have a pretty nice perch after the first 5 games of the 2020 season.

So what’s next? Chicago faces a stretch of 5 games (up until their bye week) that will likely determine the fate of their campaign. If they can stack 3 more wins and move to 8-3 after 11 weeks they’ll be in players in the race for a playoff spot. If they stumble and pick up 2 (or less), with 2 games remaining against the rival Packers... life might get very difficult for Matt Nagy’s team in a hurry.

We take a closer look at the next Bears opponent (the Carolina Panthers) and then go on to predict how the Bears will fare moving on towards their bye week. Will Chicago rise to challenge and earn a seat at the final table, or wither down the stretch and leave fans consumed with thoughts of what might have been? Listen in and find out:

This week was special as we got we got to share a beer that a listener sent us! Huge shout out to Bob D. for the kind the gesture and sharing some terrific beer.

As always, drop you thoughts in the comments below. Will Chicago’s offense start clicking and carry the team to playoff spot? Or will they continue to sputter and leave the heavy lifting to Chuck Pagano’s defense as they have through the early season?
