Video: Just One Play

Sometimes an entire game, can be boiled down to Just One Play.

It’s been a while since I’ve dropped a video. Some of you may recall my short lived Quick Dive series from 2018, where I would wax poetical for 15-20 minutes in heavily scripted and edited videos. Well, I took a break after the play-off loss to the Eagles, with the intention of picking it back up in the off-season. Well, I got busy, and it didn’t happen. Then I planned on doing more during the 2019 season. I was still busy, and it still didn’t happen.

I’m still fairly busy, but I figured I’d dip my toes back into the video waters with something a bit less time consuming. That’s where this (series?) comes in. Just One Play will focus on a single play, probably from the previous game. It may be something that is emblematic of the game as a whole, like this first entry, or it may just be a play that I find interesting in some way. It’s lightly edited, and mainly consists of me talking about the play while illustrating the replay. Basically something I can knock out in an hour or two, rather than the weeks it took me to create the Quick Dive videos.

Where this goes from here, we’ll see. But for now, you can check out my thoughts on this singular run play from the Bears’ Week 4 match up with the Colts. I don’t go into great depth, as this is only a 6 minute video, but it may still be worth a quick watch. Let’s be honest though, you’re totally going to watch this on the toilet.
