The latest Bears Banter Podcast has arrived!
The big cheese at Windy City Gridiron, Lester Wiltfong joins the podcast this week and there’s plenty to discuss.
As usual, whenever Lester joins Bears Banter, there’s a detailed discussion on the offensive line, not just its performance this year, but where it needs to go. The defense was also discussed and if it’s time to notice that they aren’t playing up to par either but a huge part of the conversation was about the Bears offseason and what they will end up doing with Ted Phillips, Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. So Bears’ fans have to ask themselves one question: do you trust George McCaskey?
Ted Phillips was team president long before George took over as chairman of the Chicago Bears. It’ll be up to George to hire a new team president to replace Phillips which is a critical hire that will impact the team for as much as a decade if not longer. That president will be making critical decisions about the future of the team. So do you trust George McCaskey, who has admitted he doesn’t know a ton about football and considers himself a fan, to make that crucial hire?
Hiring the next team president (if in fact Ted Phillips is “retiring”) is a massive job. Is he up to the task? Would he consider keeping either Ryan Pace or Matt Nagy around? You never know with the Bears! Check out a great podcast below!
