On Saturday the Chicago Bears updated their injury list for Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings and ruled starting corner Jaylon Johnson and reserve safety Deon Bush both out. These two defensive backs will now join nickelback Buster Skrine on the sidelines, as Skrine was listed as out yesterday.
Look for the Bears to start Kindle Vildor for Johnson, Duke Shelly for Skrine, and DeAndre Houston-Carson or Sherrick McManis should get some looks if the Bears go dime or big nickel.
The Bears activated cornerback Xavier Crawford off the practice squad to shore up their secondary. Crawford was originally a 6th-round pick of the Texans in 2019, and the Bears picked him up last year after a brief stint with the Dolphins. He’s been on Chicago’s practice squad this entire season.
Outside linebackers Khalil Mack (shoulder) and James Vaughters (knee), and tight end Jimmy Graham (hip) remain questionable for Chicago, and it’s expected that all three will play on Sunday.
No changes for the Vikings today, as they still have linebacker Eric Kendricks and tight end Kyle Rudolph both out and running back Alexander Mattison (illness) listed as questionable.
