Bears announce their “My Cause My Cleats” participants

I mentioned the NFL’s My Cause My Cleats campaign in yesterday’s Ten Thoughts, and today the Chicago Bears have announced the players that will be participating.

My Cause My Cleats is a way for players to bring awareness to causes that are important to them, or to charities that they are directly involved with, by wearing specially designed cleats during games. This season a record number of players around the NFL will be involved, with more than 1,000 participating, but other members of the teams will be getting involved as well.

Here’s the full list of individuals in the Bears organization that will don custom cleats in the next couple weeks, plus the cause/charity they are raising awareness for.

Players have the option to raise funds for their cause of choice through auctioning their cleats on NFL Auction where 100% of funds raised will be donated to the charities they select. Fans may bid on player cleats at NFL.com/Auction and help raise funds for the causes nearest to their hearts.
