Bears announce several roster moves including Spencer Ware to the practice squad

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Earlier today Spencer Ware posted via his LinkedIn that he was joining the Chicago Bears, and now the team has made it official by announcing that they are signing him to the practice squad.

The Bears also announced that wide out/punt returner DeAndre Carter was activated back to the 53-man roster from the Reserve/COVID-19 list, and that wide receiver Thomas Ives was moved from the Reserve/COVID-19 list back to the practice squad.

In case you missed it, the Bears released defensive lineman Tyler Clark form the practice squad yesterday, and on Sunday they restored inside linebacker Manti Te’o back to their practice squad from the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

This means the Bears’ practice squad is back full with 16 players, and that they no longer have anyone on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

This week the Bears placed two players on their practice squad protected list, the newly signed Ware and quarterback Tyler Bray.
