There were several changes announced by the Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday.
On the injury front the Bears announced that tight end Demetrius Harris has been downgraded to out. He’ll now join corners Jaylon Johnson and Buster Skrine on the inactive list for tomorrow’s game. Check out the full injury report here.
The Bears have also activated defensive back Xavier Crawford for the game from the practice squad. Crawford was activated last week as well and he had a tackle in 10 special teams snaps.
The Jaguars have downgraded running back James Robinson to out, but they also announced that Mike Glennon will get the start at quarterback over Gardner Minshew II on Sunday.
Glennon is one of the more immobile QBs in the league, and the Jags number two tailback is Chris Johnson who has 20 yards rushing this year, so while the players have no intention on tanking for the top draft pick, it appears the franchise has other ideas.
The Jaguars have also signed cornerback Quenton Meeks to their active roster from the practice squad, and elevated running back Craig Reynolds and fullback Bruce Miller to the active roster via a standard practice squad elevation.
And finally, they activated offensive lineman Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms from the practice squad as a COVID-19 replacement.
The Bears will still need to take care of business between the lines, but this is a game they should win.
