WCG Sunday Livestream: Week 13 - Bears Vs Lions

WCG’s Jacob Infante joins the show this week, since the rest of us are out of ways to say “the offense is bad.”

Good morning.

When the Bears beat the Lions in week 1, sure it took a comeback nobody was expecting and a dropped pass, but at 1-0, the possibilities were endless. Twelve weeks later, with the Bears sitting at 5-6, cold hard reality put most of those to bed.

Of course, the 0-1 start for the Lions came with its own reality, as they fired their GM and head coach. For them, maybe that means not calling man coverage against the quarterback that’s shredded the Lions’ man coverage schemes, if Mitchell Trubisky hasn’t been able to shred anything else.

The fact remains, however, that the Lions could have taken week one, and that will certainly be at the forefront of their efforts to win the rematch. For the Navy and Orange, facing the Lions represents a chance to go to 6-6, salvage something of this season, sweep the Lions and snap this five-game losing skid. Somewhere in there, playing some offense fairly well will probably have to happen.

Bear Down, my friends.

The WCG Sunday Livestream has a surprise, as we welcome draft analyst Jacob Infante to the stream. We seem to have exhausted our supply of superlatives for how bad the offense is, so with the playoff picture approaching the same relative bleak state it’s been at for nine of the last ten seasons, we thought it’d be a great idea to have Jacob talk to us about the draft. I guess we can talk about the game itself as well.

Of course, all the usual ways to get a hold of us exist.

As usual, we’ll see you at 9:30 AM CT.
