The early negotiating window for NFL free agency open and smoking!
The Chicago Bears have already re-signed a couple of their own players and we’ll keep track of all of all of their free agents below the rumor tracker. Also in regards to the Bears, the 5th year option on Leonard Floyd becomes guaranteed on March 18. The Bears could still try to work out a long term deal with him if they fail to rescind the option, but if they rescind the option he becomes a free agent.

- March 16: The Bears lose another as Nick Williams signs with the Lions. (link)
- March 16: The Saints seem to be interested in Kevin Pierre-Louis. (link)
- March 16: The Raiders have signed quarterback Marcus Mariota. (link)
- March 16: The Lions have signed OLB Jimmy Collins. (link)
- March 16: There’s still some smoke to Bridgewater to Chicago rumor. (link)
- March 16: A possible Bears target off the board as the Broncos gave OG Graham Glasgow 4 years for $44 million, with $25 million guaranteed.
- March 16: Another QB off the market as Case Keenum signs with the Browns for $18M over 3 years per Adam Schefter.
- March 16: The NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo is reporting that the Bears are not likely to land Bridgewater, but The Athletic’s Michael Lombardi is reporting the Bears are interested in trading for the Jaguars’ Nick Foles... Plus the Dalton trade rumors are back.
- March 16: Teddy Bridgewater talking with the Bears according to Brad Biggs with Tom Brady’s decision playing a role if they can get him. If Brady doesn’t go to Tampa Bay then the Bucs would be interested in Bridgewater.
- March 16: Ian Rapoport is reporting that Nick Kwiatkoski is signing with the Raiders.
- March 16: The Browns appear to be close to signing Austin Hooper, making him the highest paid tight end in the NFL. (link)
- March 16: Brad Biggs tweeted out the the Bears could be interested in Raiders safety Karl Joseph.
- March 16: It’s being reported that another QB is off the market with Philip Rivers heading to the Colts. (link)
- March 15, 10:00 pm - Chads Forbes, who gets some news and rumors right every now and again, fired off a couple of Bears related tweets. He says that inside linebacker Kevin Pierre-Louis is no longer an option for the Bears after signing Danny Trevathan, and the Giants, Raiders, and Patriots are interested in him. He also says that about 8 teams are after Nick Kwiatkoski, with the Cleveland Browns as the front runner, and that Kwiatkoski is in for a big pay day.
He also has the Bears interested in safety Vonn Bell (Saints) and outside linebacker Markus Golden (Giants), and offensive linemen Graham Glasgow (Lions), Alex Lewis (Jets), and Greg Van Roten (Panthers), but he believes Glasgow could be out of Chicago’s price range.
- Bears safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix sent out a cryptic Tweet that makes it seem he’s going to re-sign with the Bears. (link)
- The Derek Carr to the Bears trade popped up again recently (link), but was nixed a couple days later (link).
- Ryan Tannehill re-signed with the Titans which makes one less landing spot for Tom Brady.
- The Bengals are back making noise about shopping Andy Dalton. (link)
- Austin Hooper, whom the Bears have been linked to, is looking forward to free agency with the Redskins and Packers also rumored to have interest. (link)
