Bears bring back Brent Urban

The Bears get some defensive line depth with the re-signing of Brent Urban.

According to his wife Kate, the Chicago Bears are re-signing defensive lineman Brent Urban. Terms are undisclosed at this time, but we’ll update once news breaks.

The Bears signed Urban last October just a couple days after being released by the Tennessee Titans, and Urban racked up 16 tackles in a reserve role. Urban, who will turn 29-years old in May, played in nine games including 183 snaps on defense and another 42 on special teams.

The Bears are Urban’s third team since being a fourth-round pick of the Ravens in 2014, and he has 19 starts in 54 career games.

I thought the 6’7”, 300 pounder played well against the run and am glad to see him return in 2020 to compete at his position. So far in free agency on the d-line the Bears have lost Nick Williams and have retained Roy Robertson-Harris.
