Bears Free Agency Tracker: You grade their moves so far

Since the Bears free agency news and rumors have slowed a bit, we’re pulling double duty on this tracker by also asking you guys to give us your grade for their moves so far.

Welcome to SB Nation FanPulse — a survey of fans across the NFL. Throughout the offseason, we send 32 polls to plugged in fans from each team. Bears fans, sign up HERE to join FanPulse.

These latest Chicago Bears FanPulse results were tabulated before they brought back quarterback Tyler Bray and signed offensive lineman Germain Ifedi, so I was curious if those two transactions could move the needed closer to a B instead of the C that our FanPulse voters gave us.

On March 23, we asked you guys if the Bears were better after the first wave of free agency, and 81% of you said yes, but let’s see how that translates to a latter grade.

After looking through the player list of transactions the Bears have made be sure to vote in the poll with your grade for what the Bears have done.

If there are any other moves we’ll be sure to update the list and if any juicy rumors or newsworthy items pop up we’ll throw down there underneath the poll, so scroll down for the latest.

Bears News and Rumors for Friday, March 27

8:37 AM: Some contract numbers are starting to come in on the new Bears and Brad Biggs as the deal for safety Jordan Lucas as a 1-year deal for $1M, with a $90K signing bonusm and a $910K base salary with $250K guaranteed.

8:37 AM: Brad Speilberger of Over the Cap Tweeted, “The Bears and Deon Bush also took advantage of the new CBA rule allowing a Four-Year veteran salary benefit (all four years with Bears). Bush is set to make $1.4M, but will cost just $1,047,500 against the cap.”

Brad also had the Artie Burns contract info by tweeting, he “signed a Veteran Minimum Salary Benefit contract and will not count against the Bears’ compensatory picks,” and that, “almost his entire base salary is fully guaranteed at signing, so it’s very likely he will make the roster.”

8:35 AM: Biggs had the numbers for defensive lineman Brent Urban as a one-year deal for $1M, with $90K signing bonus.

8:34 AM: Brad Biggs Tweets that the terms for long snapper Patrick Scales are identical to the Artie Burns deal. “It is a veteran salary benefit contract, 1-yr deal worth $1,047,500, he has a $137,500 signing bonus, $750K of his $910K base salary is guaranteed,” which makes the total guarantee $887,500.
