Don’t look now, but the Cordarrelle Patterson recruitment of Kelechi Osemele is heating up.

On March 20, Chicago Bears junior-general-manager-in-training, Cordarrelle Patterson, continued shooting his shot on Twitter by hitting up his former teammate, offensive lineman Kelechi Osemele.

It was a simple ‘what’s up’ with a reply of ‘what’s good’ from Osemele four days later, but then Patterson quickly sprung into action with a, “What you think about joining @ChicagoBears???”

A couple more days passed before Osemele responded with a, “Let’s get it bro,” right before retweeting a Khalil Mack meme inspired clip — he played with Mack too — from the Bears Twitter account.

If the story ended there, it probably wouldn’t be much of a story, but at 9:16 on Friday night, Osemele dropped the eyeball emoji while tagging his agent as a response to Patterson’s question about joining the Bears.

This could just be some Twitter sleuthing overreaction, or maybe the 30-year old, two-time Pro Bowler is really looking to bounce back after his shoulder surgery with a team that could use some o-line help, the Bears. And maybe, just maybe, Osemele is looking for the familiarity of working with someone that coached him for three seasons in Baltimore, current Bears offensive line coach Juan Castillo.

Stay tuned...

Sunday, March 29: In Brad Biggs’ recent article at the Chicago Tribune, he wrote that Allen Robinson has reached out to new Bears QB Nick Foles telling him, “I know it’s a new place for him, so I told him if he had any questions to feel free to reach out.”

Saturday, March 28: It was a quiet day for both news and rumors, so if anything breaks today we’ll be all over it...
