NFL Draft Results 2020: Bears take Lachavious Simmons with the 227th overall pick in the 7th round

With the 227 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears have selected Lachavious “Pig” Simmons, OL, Tennessee State Tigers.

Simmons was listed at 6’5”, 315 pounds in college, and he played both tackle and guard during his career at the NCAA Division I Football Championship school. He played in the Hula Bowl All-Star game in January and his play in 2019 landed him a spot on the All-Ohio Valley Conference First-Team.

Bears fans may recognize the college he plays for as the alma mater of Hall Of Famer Richard Dent.

5th Round, Pick 163 overall: Kindle Vildor, CB, Georgia Southern

5th Round, 173 overall (From Philadelphia): Darnell Mooney, WR, Tulane

7th Round, 226 overall (From the Raiders): Arlington Hambright, OL, Colorado

7th Round, 227 overall (From the Eagles): Lachavious Simmons, OL, Tennessee State Tigers
