Welcome back to our podcast series on Chicago Bears history!

Jeff Berckes is joined by lifelong Bears fan and historian Matt Winter as they talk about the best decade in modern Bears history - the 1980s. The 80s Bears are certainly the most famous but might also be the most interesting team in NFL history. It was so interesting, we had to break it up into two episodes, so just like your favorite cassette from the 80s, there’s a Side A and Side B.

We kick things off in the 1980s with a cocktail recipe of the day and recap the NFL and US history. Then, we get into the good stuff. We cover key contributors like Samurai Mike Singletary, Richard Dent, the Punky QB Jim McMahon, the Fridge William Perry, and more (check out Jeff’s Championship Belt Series Part 3 and the newly released Part 4!).

Finally, the guys will give answers to a number of fun categories. Who from the 1980s would you most want on the upcoming 2020 roster? Who from the modern Bears would have helped this team win more championships? Who is their favorite player from the decade?

All that and more on this week’s two part Halas to Mack: Chicago Bears History by the Decade.
