Bears vs Browns Preseason week 1: What could have been...

The Bears and Browns were scheduled to play today, and if they did what news could we have had from the game?

NFL: Cleveland Browns at Chicago Bears Kamil Krzaczynski-USA TODAY Sports

If the preseason wasn’t cancelled, the Chicago Bears would have kicked off their game against the Cleveland Browns from Soldier Field today at noon.

Head coach Matt Nagy had previously said his usual strategy of resting his starters was scrapped and he wanted to see his players get out there and compete, so we would have had a chance to see Mitchell Trubisky and Nick Foles each leading the offense.

We would have seen the five starting offensive linemen building some familiarity with the guy next to them.

We would have seen how David Montgomery looks after an offseason of busting his ass with The Footwork King and dropping some weight.

We would have seen if Bilal Nichols and Roy Robertson-Harris were ready to complement Akiem Hicks on the defensive line.

We would have seen how the secondary looked with two new starters.

We would have finally had some Bears football to watch...

Preseason games are rarely any good, but I’ve only missed a handful of them in all my years of being a Bears fan, so with no game today how about you guys give me your what could have been predictions that we would have seen.
