Keep in mind that rosters still need to be set at 53 for week one, but after that teams can expand them to 55 each week with an increased fluidity between the active roster and the now 16-man practice squad.

Teams are 10 players short of the usual 90-man offseason roster size this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but with the new reserve/COVID-19 list there’s a possibility that we’ll see some additional players sign and come to Halas Hall to practice while others wait out their quarantines.
