The Chicago Bears gave a try out to six players today at Halas Hall per the NFL’s try out/visit list.
They took at look at defensive linemen Terry Beckner (6’4”, 305), who was a 7th-round pick of the Buccaneers in 2019, Jay Bromley (6’3”, 297), who was a Giants 3rd-rounder in 2014, and Nazair Jones (6’5”, 304), who was a 3rd-round selection of the Seahawks in 2017.
They also worked out defensive backs Briean Boddy-Calhoun (5’9”, 193), who was a UDFA of the Jaguars in 2016, Brandon Williams (6’, 200), who was a 3rd-round pick of the Cardinals in 2016, and Howard Wilson (6’1”, 184), who was a Browns 4th-rounder in 2017.
With the NFL still navigating through the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it makes sense for teams to hold sporadic try outs to keep a fresh list of possible free agents.
Earlier this week the Bears held try outs for several offensive players, one of which, wide receiver Rodney Adams, signed with the team.
Also on today’s try out/visit list was former Bears 1st-round draft pick Kevin White, who had a try out with the Jets, and former Chicago practice squadder Wille Beavers, an offensive lineman, worked out for the Falcons.
