During his seven years playing for the Chicago Bears, Kyle Long was as popular as any offensive lineman to ever play in the Windy City. He played with an aggressiveness and passion that resonated with fans, and his willingness to interact on his social media platforms gave us all a peek into his personality.
That personality will be on display every week in his post-football gig as a studio analyst for CBS Sports Network’s That Other Pregame Show (TOPS).
“As a recently retired player, Kyle brings a knowledge straight from the field of today’s game coupled with the mindset of its current generation of athletes,” says Harold Bryant, Executive Producer and Senior Vice President, Production, CBS Sports in a press release issued today. “His experience as an offensive lineman also will contribute a unique point of view which will complement that of his colleague London Fletcher, who spent 16 seasons as a linebacker in the NFL.”
Besides Fletcher, Long will be joined in the TOPS studio by Adam Schein and Amy Trask, and the show will kickoff on Sunday, September 13 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Central and air each Sunday during the 2020 NFL season.
“I am very excited to begin my broadcasting career by joining the CBS Sports family and the TOPS team,” says Long. “I look forward to bringing my experience and perspective as a recent player coming right off the field to the show each and every Sunday of the NFL season.”
