The final injury report from the Chicago Bears has been revealed in advance of their week one game against the Detroit Lions, and when considering how things looked earlier this week, it’s not quite as bad as many feared.
The good news is for a second consecutive day running back David Montgomery (groin) practiced in full, but he’ll he’ll officially listed as questionable this week.
Also practicing in full today and listed as questionable for the Bears will be wide out/running back Cordarrelle Patterson (knee), receiver Javon Wims (Achilles), offensive lineman Jason Spriggs (knee) and Germain Ifedi (triceps), and cornerback Buster Skrine (finger).
Since all these players were full go at practice I’d but the odds really high that all are fine for Sunday.
Outside linebacker Khalil Mack (knee) was a limited participant at practice all week and he also received the questionable designation. Fellow OLB Robert Quinn (ankle) didn’t practice at all this week and he’s listed as doubtful.
Practicing all week in some capacity is a good indication one will play, so unless there’s a set back I would expect Mack to be out there against the Lions.
Holding Quinn back this week makes sense, even if it’s more a precautionary thing. The season is a marathon, and they’ll need his pass rush as much as possible once he’s healthy.
Here’s the injury report for the Lions this week.
