NFL Week 1: Bears vs Lions live updates and 2nd half overflow open thread

The Chicago Bears trail the Detroit Lions at halftime, 13-6, and the offense has been sputtering all afternoon so far.

Mitchell Trubisky is 8 of 20, with 110 yards, the team has 90 yards rushing, and the defense is led by Eddie Jackson’s 5 tackles.

What is your second half prediction?

Here’s our first 2nd half overflow thread of the 2020 season, and the first with our new commenting system, Coral.

Yeah, it’s been a rough transition from what we’re used to, but there have already been more than 20 new features and improvements since it launched, and SB Nation is still tweaking the system.

Here are a few things to keep in mind:

  1. If you change the ‘Sort By’ option to “Oldest,” you can read all the comments in chronological order, and the comment box moves to the bottom. If you leave it as “Newest”, the latest comments will appear at the top.
  2. If you’re using a computer, you can move down the comments using C, and move back up using shift-C by clicking once inside the comments area. This can also be used to ‘load more’ comments.
  3. Under the ‘My Profile’ tab, you can keep track of replies to your comments, and also sign up for email notifications of replies
  4. If you want to auto-show all images/GIFs/Tweets, you can opt into this under My Profile - Preferences

Also, we aren’t quite sure how the auto-moderating system will handle adult language, so if your F-Bombs aren’t showing up, maybe scale it back to a ‘Freak the fricking Lions!’ type of comment.

Enjoy the game everyone!
