OSS - QB Face/Off!

Nick Foles and Mitch Trubisky Face/Off in this installment of One Stop Shop!

I wonder if doves will be released when they announce a starter?

Ah, Face/Off. The classic 1997 movie that birthed a million and a half Nicolas Cage memes, and made us all question how exactly bone structure works... The answer of course was “Shut up, nerd!”:

With the current QB showdown, or shall we say Face/Off, going on here in Chicago, it was only natural that my booze addled brain jump straight to this cinematic treasure. With it’s ridiculous premise, over the top performances, and John Woo staples such as slow motion doves, it was pure 90’s action schlock.

Of course, the actual QB competition has been anything but exciting, what with no pre-season and the limited number of open practices, but hey. We can always dream, right? And in my dreams, it’s an overblown Nicolas Cage movie with Hong Kong style action! In short, it’s Face/Off!

For such a simple poster design, it was actually somewhat difficult to pull off. It was mostly due to a lack of appropriate photos of the two quarterbacks. But, with much searching and a little finagling, I made it work. Check out the process animation below:

As always, thanks for checking this out. These OSS posts are always a lot of fun for me. And with the return of custom image embeds, be sure to share any Bears related illustrations or photoshops you’ve done in the comments below!
