You got what you wanted Bears fans: meaningful football in January. It might not be exactly how you envisioned it, or be against who you’d like it to be... but it’s here none the less. Strap-it-up, late-season football where gridiron heroes can be forged, or memories tarnished.
If the Bears win, versus their rivals, outdoors, on grass, and in the cold - they’re in the playoffs. They get their proverbial “chip and a chair” that we’ve wanted for them all along. They’re a hot team. Anything can happen. It will be prime football theater.
If they lose they can still make the playoffs, but they’ll need help. We go over all of those scenarios as well as highlighting what’s working for the Bears right now and what might happen to them after the season depending on how all of this plays out. So listen up, and Bear Down.
NOTE: This episode was recorded before the news of David Bakhtiari’s knee injury. As much as we like to give him trouble for holding, he’s a fine player and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Finally - a huge thank you to all of you who have listened, followed along, heckled us from near and far over the past year. We love making the podcast and hearing what you think about it. All the best to you and yours in the coming year. Cheers.
