The Chicago Bears will finally come out from under their cone of silence and let the world know the plan for the 2021 season.

After two days of hemming and hawing, the Chicago Bears are finally ready to make some official announcements on the state of the franchise.

At 10 a.m. Central Time, the entire brain trust of the Bears will speak with the media.

This is how they announced the line up.

  • Chairman - George H. McCaskey
  • President and CEO - Ted Phillips
  • General Manager - Ryan Pace
  • Head Coach - Matt Nagy

Last night it leaked out that the Bears were bringing both Pace and Nagy back, but there was no clarification of the specific role that Pace would return for. It’s likely we’ll be looking at the status quo, but there’s a slim chance he’ll get the move to President with Phillips stepping down or being re-assigned.

The only other news that broke last night was defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano retiring from the NFL. The 60-year old Pagano just completed his second year with the Bears.

You can watch the press conference at the team’s site here, and if I can get an embed to the presser I’ll share it right here.

In the meantime, feel free to use this as an open thread to discuss any and all things Chicago Bears.
